The Food Voyageur Gift Card is the perfect gift for cake lovers and can be redeemed online at Food Voyageur for eligible products and services.

General

• Gift cards are issued by Food Voyageur in Australian Dollars (AUD).

• Purchase, use, or redemption of a gift card constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

• Gift cards are redeemable exclusively through Food Voyageur and may only be used for eligible products and services offered by Food Voyageur.

Delivery

• Gift cards are delivered electronically via email unless otherwise specified.

• It is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure the recipient's email address is entered correctly.

• Food Voyageur is not responsible for delays, non-delivery, incorrect delivery, spam filtering, or delivery failures caused by circumstances beyond its control.

Validity & Expiry

• Gift cards are valid for three (3) years from the date of issue unless a longer validity period is required by law.

• Any unused balance remaining after the expiry date will be forfeited to the extent permitted by law.

Redemption

• Gift cards may be redeemed online at Food Voyageur towards eligible purchases.

• Any unused balance will remain available for future purchases until the expiry date.

• If a purchase exceeds the available gift card balance, the remaining amount must be paid using an accepted payment method.

• Gift cards cannot be used to purchase additional gift cards.

• Gift cards are not reloadable unless expressly stated by Food Voyageur.

• Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred, consolidated with other gift cards, or exchanged for another gift card except where required by law.

Refunds & Cash Redemption

• Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash, refunded, returned, or redeemed for monetary value except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

• Purchases made using a gift card remain subject to Food Voyageur's standard refund, cancellation, and returns policies.

• Where a refund is approved for a purchase made wholly or partly using a gift card, Food Voyageur may, at its discretion and subject to applicable law, refund the amount back to a gift card, issue store credit, or apply another lawful refund method.

Lost, Stolen or Unauthorised Use

• Gift cards should be treated like cash.

• Food Voyageur is not responsible for lost, stolen, deleted, damaged, copied, unauthorised, or incorrectly delivered gift cards.

• Food Voyageur is not responsible for any unauthorised use resulting from the sharing of a gift card code, email, or redemption details by the purchaser or recipient.

• Once a gift card has been redeemed, the redeemed value cannot be reversed, refunded, reissued, or credited back to the gift card except where required by law.

Verification & Fraud Prevention

• Food Voyageur reserves the right to verify the validity of any gift card, transaction, purchaser, or recipient.

• Food Voyageur may request proof of purchase, proof of identity, payment verification, or other information reasonably required to investigate suspected fraud, misuse, or unauthorised activity.

• Food Voyageur may refuse, suspend, cancel, void, or restrict the use of a gift card where fraud, misuse, unlawful activity, chargeback activity, suspicious conduct, system abuse, or breach of these Terms & Conditions is suspected.

• Any gift card obtained through fraud, theft, unauthorised activity, or an unlawful transaction may be cancelled without notice.

Technical Errors

• Food Voyageur reserves the right to correct the balance of a gift card if a processing error, pricing error, technical issue, software malfunction, system error, or administrative error has occurred.

• Food Voyageur is not liable for temporary website outages, technical interruptions, internet failures, or system issues that may affect gift card purchase or redemption.

Limitation of Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Food Voyageur's total liability arising from or in connection with a gift card is limited to the remaining unused balance of the applicable gift card.

• Food Voyageur will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special, punitive, or economic loss arising from the purchase, possession, use, misuse, or inability to use a gift card.

Changes to Terms

• Food Voyageur reserves the right to amend, update, modify, replace, or vary these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice, provided such changes comply with applicable laws and do not affect rights that have already accrued to gift card holders.

• The latest version of these Terms & Conditions will be available on the Food Voyageur website and will apply from the date of publication.

Australian Consumer Law

• Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights, guarantees, remedies, or protections available to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation.

FAQs

How far in advance should I order my custom cake?

Please place your order as soon as possible.

We do accept last-minute orders, however they are subject to availability in our kitchen.

We proudly deliver across Melbourne — but not across oceans (sorry, New York friends!).

Delivery Times:

  • Weekdays: 12:00 pm – 7:30 pm
  • Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm


On the delivery day, you will get an ETA SMS with a 3-hour window. with live tracking

Deliveries can occur anytime within this window. Please ensure someone is available to receive the cake.

Venue Deliveries: We don't deliver according to the venue times

  • If delivering to a venue, please confirm the venue will be open and that someone will be present to accept the cake.

    We will not deliver the cakes based on venue times.

    If the venue is not open during our delivery times, we will take the cake back to the kitchen, and you can pick it up the next day (Sundays we are closed)

If No One Is Home/Venue Closed:

  • Our driver will try to leave your cake in a safe spot.
  • If no safe place is available, the cake will be returned to our kitchen. Pickup can be arranged once the driver is back from their delivery run. We close at 4.00pm and Sunday we are closed.
  • Food Voyageur cannot take responsibility for cakes left unattended.

Best Practice:

We recommend scheduling delivery the day before your event to avoid last-minute complications.

Specific Delivery Times:

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate exact delivery time requests.

Wedding Cakes:

Don’t worry, brides — we’ll always deliver your wedding cake before your event begins, so you can relax knowing it’s taken care of.

Our website images are styled to showcase the full beauty of each design. All the addons are optional paid add-ons such as ribbons, glitter pearls, name toppers, cherries, and other decorative elements etc.

If you would like these included, please ensure you select them when placing your order.

Please also note that our images are professionally edited and colour-corrected. While we make every effort to match the design closely, slight variations in colour may occur due to lighting and screen differences.

Absolutely. Many of our customers order the cake the day before so the big day is stress-free. Our cakes stay fresh, fabulous, and photo-ready. If you receive your cake on Friday for a Saturday event, please keep the cake refrigerated until the event.

Absolutely. Dreaming of a wedding cake that drips elegance, a birthday cake that pops with colour, or a custom piece that matches your mood board? We’ve got it. Choose from our signature designs (and tweak size, colour, and message) or go full custom with unique piping, handcrafted details, or fresh layouts (customisation fee applies). We’ll match your inspo photo’s vibe closely—just not copy-paste another baker’s design. Drop your vision at checkout or send it our way, and we’ll make it happen.

For deeper or darker colours (such as deep reds, dark blues or blacks or burgundy etc), a slightly stronger taste is natural due to the concentrated colour required to achieve those shades. Our cakes are still delicious, but you may notice a mild aftertaste with very dark colours. These colours can also leave a temporary tint on the tongue — this is completely normal and washes off easily.

Any changes or cancellations must be requested at least 10 days prior to the scheduled delivery or pickup date.

Decoration items (including toppers, ribbons, custom décor, or specialty add-ons) are non-refundable once ordered.

If the cake has already been prepared or production has commenced, the order becomes non-refundable.

$50 administration fee applies to all refunds, regardless of the reason.

Refunds are processed within 2–4 weeks from the approval date.

Any change request made to an existing order will incur an additional $10 administration fee.

We do not issue refunds based on personal preference, including if you are not satisfied with the taste or if the cake design appears slightly different from the reference images.


Cake designs are handcrafted, and minor variations in piping, placement, and finish may occur.


Darker cake colours may require additional food colouring, which can slightly alter the taste and may cause temporary colour transfer on lips or tongue. This is normal and not considered a fault.

If delivering to a venue, please inform them of our delivery windows and ensure enough fridge/cool-room space is available. Once delivered and received at your venue, storage and care are the venue's responsibility. Food Voyageur is not liable for any damage after handover. If the venue is closed or unattended, please arrange an alternative address and advise us at least 3 days prior.
